COUN 6200 - Neurobiology and Psychopharmacology This course is designed to equip clinical mental health counseling students with a foundational understanding of neurobiology and psychopharmacology as they relate to mental health conditions and therapeutic interventions. It integrates key concepts of brain function, neural pathways, and the physiological basis of mental health disorders with an overview of pharmacological treatments. Students will learn to apply this knowledge in clinical settings to better understand client experiences, collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, and advocate for appropriate medication management as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Prerequisites:COUN 5140 , COUN 5910 , COUN 6170 , and COUN 6190 . This course is offered fully online, asynchronously with faculty and student interaction through Blackboard. Credits: 3
