COUN 6350 - Career and Lifestyle Development This course will provide both the theoretical foundation and the practical experience necessary to understand and foster the career/lifestyle development in diverse individual and group counseling settings. Students will learn and demonstrate the skills necessary to select, administer and interpret career-related assessment instruments. The relationship between the geo-socio-political influences on the labor market and career opportunities, as well as ethical and legal issues in the field of career development and counseling will be explored. Students will examine personal, social, and cultural barriers and biases that interfere with social justice and equity. Prerequisites: COUN 5140 , COUN 5510 , COUN 5520 , COUN 5910 , and COUN 6190 . This course is offered fully online, asynchronously with faculty and student interaction through Blackboard. Credits: 3
