ED 5453 - Tricks of the Trade: Using Digital Tools to Enhance the English Curriculum Students in our classrooms are becoming more and more tech savvy each day. As educators, we walk the fine line between introducing digital tools that help enhance our classrooms while avoiding digital fads. This course will start by introducing students to the research surrounding the effects of technology on the brain. Next, students will learn about different digital tools and learn how to choose the best tool for a skill or unit of study. Finally, this course will teach students how to help students think critically about the digital tools they use for their assignments. The course will also include instruction of fair use and copyright policies. Students will leave this course with a redesigned curriculum unit that showcases digital tools for production and presentation.
