ED 7001 - School Finance and Policy This course is designed to address the principal’s role and responsibilities in designing proper financial and accounting procedures, develop site-based budgets and create a system for monitoring account expenditures (object and function codes such as regular education, special education, school administration, transportation, athletics, student activities, etc.). Students will become familiar the plethora of policies (including NH State School Approval standards) used within a district and with the process by which policies and procedures are developed, implemented, evaluated, and revised. Is required by those seeking principal and superintendent certification. (3 credits) Meets MED & CAGS Concentration: Educational Leadership/School Business Administration (does not provide Certification)
