Psychology Program Description and Learning Outcomes

Concentration Description

Students will learn about the application of psychological theories and diagnoses, including the benefits of therapy and counseling for specific populations, how to apply psychological concepts to real-world situations, and be able to discuss major theories using the appropriate terminology for psychological disorders. By examining the cognitive and biological factors associated with psychological disorders, students will gain an understanding of the process of diagnosis and treatment used in the field of clinical psychology.
