ED 7500 - School Superintendent Internship


This course is designed to engage candidates for school district leadership roles by providing opportunities to synthesize, practice, and apply academic and theoretical knowledge from Superintendent preparation coursework in the real environment of an operating school district. Coursework assignments related to the standards of district leadership will result in a document reflectively serving as a broad program examination of district leadership preparedness.  Candidates will explore district vision, mission, and goals; strategies for evaluating and monitoring progress; the benefits of shared commitments; the roles of the instructional leader; management and operations of the effective school district; and identify the value and benefits of a strong professional culture throughout the school district. Prerequisites: This is the final course in the Superintendent Licensure program. All requirements must be met prior to enrollment. Credits: 4 Repeatable up to one time.
