ED 5200 - Introduction to Research Methods


In this course, students are introduced to the research process from identifying a problem of practice, locating and evaluating published research related to their chosen problem of practice, and sharing the results. Students will explore quantitative and qualitative research methods and the appropriate use of each method, design, and data collection, management, and analysis for a proposed research problem and question, with an emphasis on applying it to the student’s chosen problem of practice through developing a research study.  A strong emphasis on writing skills and the usage of APA formatting will be reviewed and required.
