ED 5131 - Integrating Brain Science into Teaching and Learning Participants in this course will review the latest research on the brain and what the research means for creating an effective school and classroom environment, motivating students, and more effectively helping all students learn. Students will develop ideas and techniques to integrate brain research into all aspects of their teaching or school leadership. During this course, participants will formulate strategies to integrate how the brain operates into how:1. People interact in school and in class, 2. Lessons are prepared and presented, 3. Students interact with curriculum, 4. Students demonstrate competence, 5. Students are assisted in their journey to become independent learners, and 6. Teaching and learning evolves into student-centered processes. The following essential question will be answered during this course: How do educators employ brain research to assist all students to become successful in school? Credits: 4
