ED 8170 - Using Data for Action

While many factors influence decision-making including policies, politics, values, and biases, all decisions should be informed by various forms of data. In addition, data should not be gather simply for the sake of compiling information. Data should be used to inform leadership decisions, effect change, and evaluate outcome attainment. In this course, students will explore various forms of data and consider how those data can be effectively employed to inform decision-making, facilitate action, and evaluate progress toward meaningful change.
