PW 5500 - Writing for Digital and Social Media

This course will introduce students to critical concepts and practical skills related to writing for digital and social media. Emphasis will be placed on online writing formats, particularly website content, online news articles, blogs, social media messages, and visual formats such as infographics. In addition, students will consider how design elements and text enhancements (i.e., italics, bold, color, font selection, typeface size) convey content and contribute to the meaning of messages.
