Program Description
The New England College Superintendent Licensure Only Program is a comprehensive and rigorous initiative that prepares individuals for the multi-faceted and demanding role of district leader. Experienced educators looking to advance their career, or a dedicated professional seeking a district leadership position, will find that this program will provide the essential tools, insights, skills, and competencies required to effectively lead and manage at the district level.
Program Learning Outcomes
1. Develop skills and knowledge to be an effective school district leader.
2. Demonstrate knowledge to navigate complex challenges of contemporary systems.
3. Utilize data to assess decision making that will benefit students, families, and communities.
4. Analyze educational leadership, school finance, facilities management, community engagement, and the legal and ethical responsibilities associated with the position.
Admissions Requirements
Applicants to this program will have to have an awarded Master of Education or CAGS degree from an accredited institution in Administration or Educational Leadership. The applicants will need to have (5) years of administrative experience completed by the end of their program for licensure.
Education Administrator means a person who provides building, district, or school administrative unit (SAU)-level administrative services at the pre-K, elementary, or secondary level including a superintendent, assistant superintendent, principal, assistant principal, special education administrator, curriculum administrator, career and technical education principal, and district administrator.
