AI 6425 - Exploring Intelligent Systems: Machine Learning and Deep Learning

Students will study the theory and key algorithms of machine learning used in artificial intelligence. Students will explore supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms. Topics include learning algorithms used in recent applications such as autonomous vehicles.

Deep learning is a subset field of machine learning, concerned with solving complex problems using artificial neural networks. Deep learning algorithms learn the underlying features in data in order to approach the human-level understanding of this data. Students will further study deep learning algorithms and their applications in computer vision, speech recognition, audio processing, and natural language processing. Credits: 3
