AI 6420 - Machine Learning and Deep Learning Artificial intelligence refers to the general ability of computers to emulate human thought and perform tasks in real-world environments, while machine learning refers to the technologies and algorithms that enable systems to identify patterns, make decisions, and improve themselves through experience and data. Students will experience code development for Machine and Deep Learning. Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing, which are a form of data mining and data analysis, learn from the provided information, recognizing hidden patterns. It is dependent upon given features of the data to perform classification, detection, or prediction.
Deep Learning uses big data to focus on the Machine Learning tools that mimic human thought processes. It builds complex concepts from simpler models or data the same way the human brain processes large sets of inherently simpler stimuli to classify, recognize, analyze, and synthesize. Credits: 4
