ED 5251 - Teaching Social Studies Across the K-12 Curriculum

This course will provide students with the knowledge of the broad concepts and themes of social studies. Students will apply their understanding of the concepts and themes to the K-12 classroom. This course will use research skills to plan and implement two lessons and a unit in the area of social studies. Students will apply their knowledge of social studies and of best practices in the content area to work effectively with K-12. A minimum of field work hours will be required. Credits: 3
