KI 3140 - Sports Nutrition This course provides the student with practical information related to nutrition, exercise, and fitness. Topics examined include: nutritional needs, energy requirements, macronutrients, micronutrients, diets/healthy eating programs, nutritional supplements, ergogenic aides, weight/energy management, hydration, and behavior modification strategies. The students will attain research-based perspectives on nutrition for maintaining optimal health and physical activity. Prerequisite: BI 2030 Human Anatomy & Physiology I Offered every Fall Credits: 4
