AR 1240 (CO 1240) - Learning to Look: Contemporary Art and Media Through the exploration of significant artistic and cultural developments from the late 20th century, students will be introduced to the vocabulary, texts, audiences and technologies of visual art and new media and their interpretations. The intersection of media and fine art will be examined with special focus on pertinent issues regarding the natural and civic environments. Assignments and activities will help students develop descriptive and critical analyses. Research methods in the discipline will also be introduced. Offered every Fall. (4 Credits) Required of every art and communications major.
