AR 1110 - Introduction to 2D Design This course introduces students to the elements of design, its techniques, processes, and terminology. The emphasis will be on composition and concept, leading to the application of principles of effective visual communication. Students will explore design elements such as line, shape, color and typography. These skills will ultimately be used to create various design projects, such as logos, advertisements, and posters. Students will be introduced to traditional drawing tools as well as Adobe Illustrator as design tools. (4 Credits) Required of every art major. Fulfills LAS3 requirement.
