CW 1100 - Introduction to Creative Writing This course is a writing workshop that exposes students to three genres of creative writing: fiction, non-fiction and poetry, differentiating them by their compositional elements. Students will study and practice the art of craft and context in relation to the discipline of a creative writing process strategy. This workshop-based course affords students the opportunity to engage in deep reading of creative writing texts and apply skills learned to their own writing. This is a portfolio-based course. (4 credits)
