Former Title: Marketing for Healthcare

Former Descripton: This course focuses on aligning health services offerings with the demands of markets, in order to maximize customer/client value and organizational competitive advantage. Course components include: the nature of marketing function; differences in services and product markets and marketing; market analysis; fundamentals of individual and organizational buying behavior; elements of the tactical marketing mix; and marketing strategies. (4 credits)

New Title: Healthcare Marketing

New Description: This course offers a concentration on healthcare marketing. Throughout the course, students will compare the concepts of traditional marketing to healthcare marketing, learn how to identify target populations when marketing for healthcare, and review internal and external marketing strategies for healthcare marketing.  The course will also cover healthcare marketing program development, and students will work on the development of a marketing plan for a healthcare product and/or service.  (4 credits)
