HSEP 6350 (until Spring 2 2020) - Critical Infrastructure and Key Vulnerabilities Critical Infrastructure protection is one of the cornerstones of homeland security. This course will examine the 11 sectors that are considered to be critical Water, Power and Energy, Information and Telecommunications, Chemical Industry, Transportation, Banking and Finance, Defense Industry, Postal and Shipping, Agriculture and Food, Public Health, and Emergency Services. Students will analyze “model-based vulnerability analysis” used to extract the critical nodes from each sector, model the nodes’ vulnerabilities, and determine the best means for protection of each sector. (4 credits)
