HSEP 5010 - Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Students will perform an in depth study of the history and issues surrounding homeland security and emergency management. They will gain a mastery of roles and responsibilities of the Department of Homeland Security and its operating principals. The National Response Framework (NRF) and the ways in which homeland security processes occurs at the national, state, and local levels will serve to fuel a discussion of emergency preparedness processes, and how the intelligence community feeds homeland security planning and implementation. (4 credits)
