ED 6754 - Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment in Alternative Schools

This course provides an overview of curriculum, instructional strategies and programming, digital and virtual learning, and the role of student assessment. There is an emphasis on specific curriculum, engagement strategies and learning environments effective in alternative schools based on research. The role of formative and summative assessment, intervention, and how they work together to increase learning and engagement in alternative schools will also be reviewed.
