DBA 8721 - Dissertation I: Problem Identification Students develop a broad interest into a clear research problem, purpose, and related questions or hypotheses. The work involves conducting a targeted scoping review to position the study, mapping key concepts, selecting a preliminary conceptual or theoretical framework, and performing a feasibility check (including data access, timeline, and risks), while also attending to ethics and compliance. By the end of the course, students create a concept paper that details the problem, its significance, the framework, the proposed methodological approach, and the expected contributions to applied management scholarship. Credits: 3 (May be repeated for credit. A maximum of 1 repeat is allowed.)
