HIM 6120 - Data Analytics in Healthcare This course readies students to select, prepare, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and present clinical and operational data for the purposes of improving quality, safety, effectiveness, and cost containment in healthcare. It is designed to help students analyze electronic health records and operational data with familiar tools, Excel and R, that produce the kind of information that can lead to better decisions. Students will apply clinical and operational analytics for quality improvement in various domains from HR to pharmacology. Prerequisite: Prior or concurrent enrollment in AI 5120 , CT 5610 , CT 6110 , HIM 5110 , HIM 6050 Credits: 4
