AR 1740 - Introduction to Handbuilding Hand forming techniques with clay have been used to express creative ideas for thousands of years. Through the construction techniques of slab building, coiling, pinching, and modeling, students will continue to explore these traditions through the use of formal design elements to develop related forms and appropriate surfaces. From drawing on personal experiences as well as thoughtful assignments, creative ideas can become a reality. Offered spring semester. Credits: 4 Formerly CER 113. Offered as needed.
