CO 2010 - Speaking with Purpose

Effective communication is a marketable asset for students of all majors. Clearly expressing an idea and understanding how to reach an audience is a skill that takes self-awareness and practice. Learn the importance of vocal inflections, concise language, body language, speech structure, and audio/visual tools that help an audience understand a message. This course will cover techniques for all levels and will help those who are nervous about public speaking. Offered every other year. Credits: 4
