PO 4460 - International Organizations


This course examines international organizations and their role in structuring state behavior in the world system. Students will analyze why do states conclude treaties and establish international organizations - and what determines their institutional design. Further students will examine when and how international institutions promote cooperation between states. Case studies in the security, economic, and environmental policy areas will be used to examine these prior questions as concrete examples.   Prerequisite: PO 1510   Credits: 4
