PS 4320 - Fundamentals of Counseling and Therapy

This course involves an in‐depth examination of the various approaches to the process of counseling and psychotherapy applied to a variety of life conflicts. Included are the accepted theoretical approaches to counseling and therapy as well as the specific skills of communication, listening and empathy. Pre-requisites: PS 3210 and one other PS 3000 or PS 4000 level course. Offered every spring. Credits: 4
