PS 3160 - Child and Adolescent Psychology


This course studies child development from conception through adolescence. We will examine milestones and implications of not meeting those milestones when anticipated. The course will cover topics of physical, social, psychological, emotional, moral, and cognitive development, as well as family and educational structures. Disorders of childhood (biological as well as psychological), learning differences, social/cultural and socioeconomic status also will be explored at length.  Prerequisites:  PS 2160  and 45+ Credits. Offered every spring. Credits: 4
