AR 2612 - Painting I

This is the first in a sequence of painting courses. As such, it focuses on a rigorous, demonstrated review of observational fundamentals. Vital basic painting techniques, materials, and processes will be introduced, as well as the acquisition of knowledge and critical awareness within the discipline of painting. Students will begin to understand paintings role throughout history and into contemporary fine art practices. Prerequisites: AR 1610. Credits: 4
