BU 2410 - Leadership Across Borders and Cultures This course develops an understanding of how organizations negotiate management of human capital in a dynamic global environment. Students learn the basic language of management and apply critical thinking to solve common problems with managing people in a variety of organizations. Topics include vision and mission, intercultural and international human resource management, considering diverse legal, ethical, and human rights perspectives. In this course, students will begin the work of how to understand the differences in human culture, values, customs, in the context of a shared humanity. With a focus on the civic environment, this course works toward an understanding of diversity that strengthens an appreciation for democratic values and institutions as understood and articulated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This course is one of a group of courses identified by the College as including significant content related to sustainability. Credits: 4
