BU 2210 (AC 2210) - Financial Accounting This course examines basic concepts and principles of financial accounting. After covering the accounting cycle, emphasis is placed on the treatment, recording, and reporting of financial transactions covering major assets, liabilities, and stockholders’ equity accounts in preparing Financial Statements conforming to the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The course is conducted using experiential and collaborative approaches promoting critical mode of thinking and serves as the first step in preparation for taking various accounting certifications.
