CJ 3260 - Organized Crime


This course willexamine selected traditional and non-traditional organized crime groups operating in the United Statesand their associated global and transnational connections. Students will conduct a historical review ofthe origins and development of various organized crime groups to include their evolution, structure, function, hierarchy and associated impact upon local, national and internationalinterests. Legislative and law enforcement efforts to combat and dismantlegroups operating in the United States will also be discussed. Prerequisites: CJ 1110, minimum 60 earned credits.
