CJ 1230 (HSS 1230) - Introduction to Homeland Security The course is designed to provide a foundation in the concept of homeland security and its continued development to meet the protective needs of the United States. To that end, students will examine the Dept. of Homeland Security and its agencies and their evolution since 2002, including development in the areas of immigration, anti-terrorism, policy and emergency management.
