The minor in marketing provides students with an opportunity to explore an exciting and important area of business. Marketing is a broad and dynamic field; the minor provides the flexibility for students to pursue their specific interests in the area of marketing. Students can select among courses that explore such areas as advertising, marketing research, and sales. The marketing minor allows students across disciplines and majors (ie. Arts & Design) with complementary skills and interests to gain specific knowledge and experience leading to a more rounded education and increased marketability for employment.
Program Learning Outcomes:
1. Understand and apply the fundamental concepts of marketing;
2. Gain a deeper appreciation of consumers, markets, and brands to become better business practitioners no matter the career pursued.;
3. Develop the knowledge and identify the tools needed to coordinate marketing elements into an integrated campaign.
