BU 3710 (SM 3710) - Sport Facility and Event Management

This course is designed to teach students the management skills necessary to operate sport or recreation facilities and events. The course content includes planning, designing, and construction of sport and recreation facilities. Students will also learn how to manage sport recreation facility operations and finances. In addition, students will learn how to strategically manage sport and recreation events of any scale. The focus throughout the course will include how to perform facility and event management functions with an emphasis on creating a satisfied customer. Prerequisites: SM 1510/KI 1510 or BU 1110, BU 2220; 60 credits. Offered every fall. Credits: 4
