SO 3850 - Social Welfare Policy

This course provides an overview of the issues and conditions that result in the need for human services. You will analyze the historical and current events impacting the human services profession as well as the social, political, and economics forces affecting the welfare and social service systems. In addition, you will gain an overview of the programs, policy issues, public opinions, occupational aspects, and societal impacts on the profession as well as techniques to effect social change.
