Art History Minor

The Art History Minor allows students to explore the history of are and art theory in a comprehensive manner that partners well with various majors offered by New England College. Many art majors will also minor in Art History. Students who have minored in Art History have also majored in Business, Education, History, and Psychology.

Students completeing the minor in Art History will:

• Articulate the formal qualities of the various fine and media arts.
• Write creatively and critically about the arts and understand research methods and principles.
• Read critically and interpret art historical texts and art criticism.
• Understand nd articulate the interrelationship between the arts
• Describe the fine and applied arts in relation to history and culture.
