AC 2440 - Legal Elements of Fraud


This course will cover the background and definitions of fraud from a legal perspective, and take a closer look at the legal duties of employees and employers. Students will develop an understanding of forensic accounting and fraud examination. Topics will include the differences and similarities of civil and criminal actions, constitutional issues in the workplace, fraud prevention and detection, investigative techniques, methods of discovery and their limitations, types of evidence, asset recovery, and the methodology to getting it into court.
