ED 3030 - Teaching Social Studies

This course will provide students with the knowledge of the broad concepts and themes of social studies. Students will apply their understanding of the concepts and themes to the K-12classroom. This course will use research skills to plan and implement two lessons and a unit in the area of social studies. Students will apply their knowledge of social studies and of best practices in the content area to work effectively withK-12.?A minimum of field work hours will be required. Prerequisite: ED 1000 with a B- or better and ED 2010 . Credits: 4
