CJ 3260 - Organized Crime


This course will examine selected traditional and non-traditional organized crime groups operating in the United States and their associated global and transnational connections. Students will conduct a historical review of the origins and development of various organized crime groups to include their evolution, structure, function, hierarchy and associated impact upon local, national and international interests. Legislative and law enforcement efforts to combat and dismantle groups operating in the United States will also be discussed. Prerequisites: CJ 1110, minimum 60 earned credits. Offered as needed.
