PA 2230 - Introduction to Symbolic Logic This course serves as an introduction to deductive symbolic logic. Topics to be covered include traditional/Aristotelian logic, sentential and predicate logic, translation between natural language and symbols, argument forms, truth table analysis, and both direct and indirect proofs. Students will hone and refine their analytical and critical thinking skills by identifying premises and conclusions of arguments and analyzing arguments for validity. Offered as needed. (4 Credits)
